Self Imposed Prisons
Sometimes we get into a pattern of thinking. The pattern takes over thought outside the self-enforced beliefs. For example, you might be in a situation that consumes you with negative thought. The thoughts you have been repeating have become fully justified realities of logical thought patterns. You base your decisions and actions on these thought patterns, enforcing the perception even further. Eventually, you are trapped within a mental prison of a reality that only you created. Now, if your thought pattern is flawless (let's call you Spock then) you are right. But, none of us has that level of omnipresent and all knowing logic. It is likely that you have false assumptions, erroneous concepts or bad facts. Any of these will put holes in your perceived reality.
What to do about it?
Be open to the possibilities that you have flaws in your logic. Be open to the possibilities that things change and alter even what might have been real or true before. And don't let a thought pattern become your master. Master your thought patterns.
Why Never Surrender?
While setting up my firm, I toyed with a lot of firm mottos. I considered, “Your Judicial Champion.” for the longest time. Then one day I realized a personal motto was more appropriate. So I settled on “Trade Numquam.”
Welcome to my blog
I have maintained a private journal for sometime, but at the urging of friends and associates, I am starting a law based blog as an extra to my firm's website. I hope you find the additional content here helpful to you. If you haven't visited the main site, please do. It is at http://www.shtexaslawyer.com/.
